The Royal Opera House celebrate International Women’s Day with performance at St. Pancras International

On International Women’s Day 2022, the world-renowned Royal Opera House teamed up with iconic London destination St Pancras International to delight visitors with a series of mini operas commissioned by The Royal Opera House, with performances created by all female composers and librettists. 

The pop up performances aimed to visibility of female creatives and offered Londoners bite-sized experiences of this amazing art form. 

Halpern brought together the two world-famous to create the one-off event, and led a media-first communications strategy to drive national awareness in the lead up to the event. The activity also showcased St Pancras International’s ongoing support of the arts and culture industry, securing 50+pieces of gold-tier coverage in target publications, including dedicated features in The Telegraph, The Guarian, Evening Standard and Country & TownHouse.

Live broadcast features by BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Kent captured the performances and interviews with artists on the day. Hundreds of station visitors stoped and captured organic content from the performances throughout the day, while BBC London, Mayor of London Culture Team and Classic FM shared snippets their social platforms, maximising reach even further.
